Thinking about who Oregon might lose to the transfer portal once it opens again on 12/4, and won't open again until 5/1, I believe, and if my quacks are lucky enough to make it to the CFPs this year, how it might affect the team by losing some from the 2nd and 3rd string when there are still up to 2 more games to play.
But forget that, what about NEXT season when there may be up to 4 more games to play for some teams once the portal opens? Will kids stay on in the hopes of playing mop up in a playoff game or two, or will they elect to transfer out prior to the playoffs?
Could produce some interesting depth issues and exactly when depth will be at a premium....
If we make the playoffs and lose guys like Bridges and Manning to the transfer portal in December, I will be very concerned.
Ward ain't coming to Eugene, nor do we want him. He's an injury waiting to happen. Not worth the investment.
I think Ty portals...
Apologies for changing the subject, don't want to start a new thread...... I keep receiving emails for pac12 champ game tix. Very reasonable. You can actually get 40 yard line seats for 100 dollars (400 section). 400 sec is too high imo. I'd personally spend an additional 100-150 get a section 100 or 200 around the 20-30 yard line, or perhaps 300 section on the 50 yd line. FYI, I paid a little over 300 (each) for sec 300 on the 50 last year. Tickets seem to be going for about 100 dollars less this year. Might drop more, I'm not sure.
Disregard if you're buying your tix from UO.... Although you might be looking for more tix.
Not worried about losses. At least ten are getting processed.
But I would love to snag Ward for a year. Give him a million NIL.
Gives Novasad a year to get healthy and playing time
I cringe at Ty starting.
