UCLA Fans - tell us about Adrian Klemm as OL coach

@OldHickoryTrojan I think it's all a gamble in one sense. But I also think worst case we will end up in the same situation we had with Mario Cristobal as head coach: Tremendous overall recruiting, great individual players, nobody getting coached up or better during their time in Eugene, and poor decision-making during game day by a green/unintelligent coach.

And, again, if that's worst-case scenario, I'll take it. Gladly. As an Oregon duck--definitely where it's so hard to recruit to Eugene. As a Trojan fan, sure, I would want more.

Best-case scenario is that Lanning ends up being a better game-day coach than Cristobal, and the assistant coaches end up developing players.

What you won't most likely see is Oregon slipping back to the Bellotti years where we would get the typical handful of 2-3 four-star recruits, all from the west coast, and hope the rest of the 3 stars over-deliver, which is basically exactly where the rest of the p12 is currently, outside of USC and Oregon.

So it's a gamble, but one I'm happy to make. You see, recruiting is the life-blood of any program, the only way to consistently (or even ever) make the playoffs......and never easy in BF Eugene.

@LA Duck When you gamble do you play roulette? I don’t. Worst odds in the house. I play single and double deck blackjack. Boring? Yep. And I also count cards. Klemm is a bag man and a horrible coach. Don’t care where he coached or who he knows. He’ll cost your program. The last thing you want to do is to give the NCAA a chance to act in a righteous manner when they crush your university. Don’t do it. Don’t hire Klemm. He’ll cost your school too much.

@Coachemup! In the new NIL era, any player can get money legally. These deals could be pre-arranged. AS an example,"Whoever is the starting QB for Oregon is gets the Pot Emporium endorsement contract for $50,000. " These offers now exist in the SEc ala Zaxby's chicken etc. the difference now is that is quasi-above board versus before it was sub rosa.
