"A.J. Fuimaono is a 6-foot-3, 280-pound standout from Henderson (Nev.) Liberty was one of the top performers at the Polynesian Bowl combine and showcase earlier this year, imposing his will with an array of pass-rush moves and punching his ticket to the 2023 Polynesian Bowl with a strong showing in the one-on-one battles."
"My family absolutely loved it at UCLA because they are a well-run program; it’s kind of like the military,” Fuimaono said. “They are very disciplined in what they do, very organized and just operating on a different level. They understand that, in terms of my development, I’ll be in a great situation at UCLA. When I went there on my official visit, I just loved the players and interacting with everyone. It felt like a great group and everything watching out for each other. They understand our Polynesian culture and it was great to be able to get to know some of the boys from Hawaii that are on the team."
And...the sword of Damocles hangs over their broke-ass program with regents threatening to cut the thread.
