Ducks, don't be mad but this is what I heard. The main reasons have to do with academics and UCLA doesn't like the way the Ducks use NIL. UCLA would have preferred Stanford.

No offense taken at all, vistadel11!
Being universally hated is just part of the landscape of being the overall most successful team in the pac since Carroll amscrayed to Seattle.
But as noted, it's not the universities who are running the show any longer - it's the networks. For better or worse....
I posted those as the rationale for rejecting the Ducks along with fan conduct but added without having a vote neither USC or UCLA could block it and the Big wanted to weaken the chances of those two programs owning west coast recruiting....no sense in giving the LA schools any kind of recruiting advantage..spread the talent across more schools on the west coast which weakens the impact....as if travelling East wasn't an advantage enoght for the Big 10 over those schools...
for once. I have to agree with the bruins.
I thought the main reason was fans. At least someone just posted that.
But yeah, UCLA, SC, UW, were all against it .
Big won't even take Stanford for free. What does that tell you.
I wanted Big 12 actually.
It is because UCLA is too cheap to put their money where their mouth is.
