Stanford had dominated the Pac12 in OL recruiting for many years beginning in 2007 with Harbaugh (What's your deal? / What's YOUR deal?). Shaw inherited the talent and momentum, but now it looks like Shaw can't recruit OL for $hite and Stanford is back to being Stanford. Don't know where all the top OL talent is going, but it is now certainly steering clear of Stanford and USC.

Stanford’s problem against KSU was they could not run the ball.tough for a quarterback to be successful without a running game

@PeteBaglioni the defense was mostly vanilla, no blitz packages, few stunts and twists by the dline. We pulled Drake for a lot of the game. we were getting push on the dline on passing downs and caused some hurries on a very seasoned QB who was getting rid of the ball fast. I think we will see more from the d this weekend and some sacks. the stat lines are useful but not alweays reavealing of a game. Except for the score, that one is animportant stat.

@BigBallss All accurate, plus add that we had a newbie at corner who did really well. the red zone was not pretty. One time was pass heavy and failed. A other time was run-heaavy and failed. On TV it looked like they -SJ put 7-8 guys into coverage often. The third quarter lull continues.

@tempomacdougall yes, they were dropping 8 guys into coverage a lot. I liked that we responded with some nice runs. But thats the book on Harrells offense, drop 8 into coverage and force the run. Harrell hasnt had a response yet but i liked what he did against SJ State
