You guys ain't gonna like this one bit.... Me, I'm gonna laugh my friggin' head off if this does come to pass. Thought USC had it all wrapped up that they contractually had forbidden the B1G from allowing Oregon to join the conference? 🤣😂🤣
And what about the podunky college town in Nowheresville and the third-rate education at the UO? Like I have been saying, it's the networks calling the shots here, not USC and not the chancellors at the B1G universities.
Sure, we duckies likely won't start out with 100% of the take as USC and UCLA is doing. But we'll get there eventually. And til then, we have our Uncle Phil (and what will be a massive inheritance once he passes, just FYI sc).
Fight on, Friends. And save us a place at the table. We quacks are comin' for ya Trojans! LOL
Have you called Bullshit yet? just wondering about this done deal
Congrats. It seemed inevitable to me, along with UW and Stanford.
Why perpetual inferiority complex from the Oregon “wannabe” posters?
Like Russia is a “gas station with a nuclear weapon”……….
UOregon is a “backwater truck stop with a wealthy daddy”.
NIL in the big city...,
Jordan Addison landed a clever NIL deal this week. The new USC Trojans wide receiver announced Monday a deal with United Airlines on his Instagram page. Wide receivers are generally associated with air travel, as they have to track down deep passes, can go up and above defenders, and so on and so forth. Addison has yet to play a down for Trojans after transferring from Pittsburgh.
However, the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner should make some high flying plays with new quarterback Caleb Williams in Lincoln Riley’s offense this fall. In his Instagram post, Addison is seen in his USC uniform, holding a football and posing in front of a plane decked out with the United logo.
“New routes coming this fall United Airlines has direct flights from college towns across the country to help you follow your team without layovers,” Addison wrote in his Instagram caption. “This season, you can fly directly from LA to watch our games against Oregon State and Arizona. Let’s go, let’s go ! #ad.”
6 P12 schools makes no sense. I don’t see that happening.
Stanford and Cal bring more to the table.
There was a big push by some to keep Nebbie out due to their academics…I see the same with Oregon.
If Ore makes it in, do you think they be forced to take less of a cut. I heard an estimate of about 20 mil per. If true, maybe Uncle Phil can pay the bill. My guess is the Ducks will ha e to wait past 2024 if it ever happens.
Uh huh.
ya, let me know when it happens.
Agreement is principle is a lot like, "the check is in the mail" and the other disgusting sayings that go with that statement.
Did you know Phil's two kids didn't go to Oregon? sc
UO, WA, Stanford & Cal? With USC & UCLA, why not revert to the Pac 8? Zona schools never excited me (except for Jake the Snake). PS: Why did the Health Sciences Campus split off from UO?
I can only speak for myself but I would prefer more teams in the west , Oregon or not to balance out scheduling . I don’t want to see road games in the Midwest in the winter. I doubt USC gave orders to the Big 10 as to who they take in expansion. Oregon still needs to validate their status as an A power. To do so only happens with a national championship.
I believe there was a key date and Deadline. USC and UCLA notified at that deadline. Past the deadline any school is going to be dealing with some serious penalties leaving he conference. Maybe it doesn't matter to UO but USC usually doesn't leave money on the table. Little surprised the PAC-12 commish was fishing in Montana on deadline day
watched a more detailed video on the analysis done to determine the best choices to join the Big 10...and yes Oregon was one of the teams that scored high but it sure looked like the data was a bunch of assumptions ( as an example they had Wisconsin as higher viewer then USC) They had Oregon rated higher in education value then a number of surprise schools that I think is BS....it appeared that the data wasn;t date but rather a wish list for teams to join the Big 10...but ahead of them were Virginia, North Carolina and beleive it or not Florida St...
The whole thing was full of surprises and I think just an opinion.
Another bulletin said the SEC was interested in Arizona and Wilner supposedly thinks the PAC will take some schools to make them more attractive in their negotiations and it sounded like they might come from the Big 12..
