Easy to say because that was 30 years ago and that was a different person back then. Easier to see it in a more detached amused manner. But when you live under debt and have to pay it off for years. Have to stare at those payments and sell more accounts to generate the cash flow? It affects you. It's not real estate where the debt is masked by rental, cash flow, depreciation or equity. I was in a business where assets depreciated. Sometimes quickly. So debt wasn't a tool, it was more like a noose.

True. My Dad's buddy coached with him before he left to coach LB's for the Chargers. They still stay in touch and he said Leach is a super smart dude, players loved him, and is just as blunt as you see in interviews.

The OTHER transfer portal. That is really good. I mean, I remember the story and the tragedy. Hate to say it, but that was far sadder than this. This is a grown man who had a great life, was famous. Sort of the Bobby Knight of football. Lived on his own terms and checked out quick. We all go somehow.
