Updated prediction for 2024 USC.

Post signing day and now that the coaches carousel has settled down.

Original way too early prediction was 7 and 5 .

Updated is 8 and 4. Not bad for a rebuilding year. A few lucky bounces and 9 and 3 is reasonable.

Maybe USC will get it's NIL mess figured out. And the new NCAA portal transfer rules will get some kind of workable structure? haven't seen any details.

I sure like SC's coaching staff better than last year's. no duh. Sc was 121 out of 133 giving up 35 points a game. Going away from confusing speed defense might drop that to close to 25 points with current personnel and staff.

still hoping SC picks up a couple impact guys and the last portal after spring ball, but what team isn't? sc

Utah st looks like a gimme. Everything else is not.

Youre saying they go perfect on the bottom half of the schedule. And on the top half they go somewhere between 1-5 and 3-3

I think if they went 3-3 with the top half of that schedule you'd have to be awfully happy with that

that was my thinking exactly. That being said, I never have or will predict an SC loss in any specific game. Bad JuJu. never want to piss off the football gods. told you I wasn't an atheist.

I include dumpster fire Washington in the bottom half.

Would love to see SC surprise and win more than one of the top "half". SC gets Wisconsin and the french whores at home. Never been impressed with state penn's coach. michigan , even depleted is a tough venue. At least it won't be cold.

scheduling LSU was just classic stupid USC arrogance. right up there with playing Alabama with nice guy clay helton at jerry's world. sc

I tend to assume you're right on UW. Just hard to wrap my head around a team that just was neck and neck for the NC for 35 minutes being a dumpster fire 9 months later. No clue what depth they had or have. Or who new is or will be coming in.

I think winning that whole bottom half is a chore. PAC-12 roadies were no joke. You'd always get popped by someone. ASU, OSU, WSU, Utah. I have to imagine a long trip to NJ or Maryland is no picnic, though I have always seen those teams as garbage.

It's funny. I have been to the UM MSU game. At the big house. I didn't feel like it was that big or loud. Reminds me of the old Rose Bowl. stands wrapped all the way around. Right behind the goal posts. Just as high up to the top as the RB or Coliseum. But everyone has bench seats and stands. So there, 110,000. For 110,000 people I sure didn't think it was that loud. And I mean, that was a very tight game I went to.

Fickell has Whiskey for season 2. Like the home game and ND at home. UCLA on the road is the same as UCLA at home. So ND at home is a plus.

LSU Alabama but they've done this before. Often when USC was weak. Knowing they were going into the B10 I have no idea what they were thinking. LSU actually has USC and UCLA on the same schedule. Someone didn't get the SEC scheduling memo. Of course, neither are actually AT USC or UCLA.

Realist in me says USC drops at least one of those bottom half games. Maybe two. And it lucky to go .500 in the top half.

Washington and Michigan are in full rebuild mode. They'll be tough games, but they'll ve beatable.

LSU replaced OC, DC, QB, and they still have Purple Face coaching

SCs toughest games are Penn St, @Wisky, Michigan and Notre Dame

Split those, and it's 10-2...I don't think that's outrageous.
