Maybe even 52-30
Think everyone will celebrate like it's some big thing and USC is back, and righted the ship.
I think the Offense will lean up their crap and Caleb will pull his head out. He is physically great but mentally not the same hungry guy as last year. Not that he was ever hungry. However, I think he paces himself and is stung by the criticism this week. So he runs more, takes more hits. And they put up 45-55
I think the USC D gives up 25-30 and every talks about how great Shadow Sanders is and how he isn't surorunded by enough talent. My dog is named Shadow, and she can't play QB a lick. But the reality is, Oregon will have allowed them essentially 0. 6 total. And USC will allow a legit 25-30 and I think that will be the untold story here.
Anyway, I think we will get a false reading here. USC will come close to covering the 22 point spread, maybe even do it.
But the problems of Caleb's mentality and USC's D is not going to be fixed overnight.
They will then return to LA and play a way harder fought game against UA than anyone wants or expects and win by 7-10 at home. They will be 6-0 and depending on the hype train either be a paper tiger or if they were Ohio State or Michigan or Georgia would be "gutsy" and "warriors" and "win the tough games"
They will then go to Notre Dame and lose by 3 touchdowns. Given their ranking and other teams ahead of them probably will lose in the next few weeks, USC will be a top 4-5 team at this loss.
If they play as they showed against ASU, and we have no reason to think they won't, they will get beaten by Oregon on the road by 30 points and lose at home to UW by 21.
They will beat Utah without Joe Dirt but not with him. I'll assume something is going on with Dirt and he won't be back.
They will beat UCLA because the Bruins Offense isn;'t good enough to keep the USC O off the field and the USC O can score against anyone. They will beat Kal because Kal sucks.
I am looking at 9-3 at this point with losses to UO, UW and ND. All big
To begin the season I had this team at 11-2 and I suppose if they go 9-3 they will go to some mid level bowl and beat whoever they play. 10-3. Why? Because I think UO, UW and ND are really really good. Great teams. Like all top 5 level squads. I just think USC is good. Not bad. Immensely talented and underachieving on O a bit. A mess on D. And good overall.
I think USC is a top 15 team. Top 10 on a good day. I think those 3 teams we are talking about. ND UO and UW are Top 5 teams every day.
Didn't you mock me on Saturday for saying this team is a 3 or 4 loss team? You're a weird fawk.
Yup he sucks.
I happened to be at that Alabama Okie playoff game a few years back in Miami while on a business trip. I left after halftime after Bama just walked all over Oklahoma. I barely knew who Riley was but walked out wondering how crappy Okie's defense was. Now I know why. grinch
Edit: wrong place- response to SC
ASU, the football team that will lose 7 of their last 8 games. ASU, who played with an offensive line equivalent to the one at Riverside JC. I'm not going to speak on Pyne at QB because he's better than the 2nd stringer they have, and not far behind that true frosh they were playing... they all suck.
Which part of the USC defense are you talking about? The talent was certainly upgraded. I've seen enough to form the opinion we have good enough players to be MORE than competent on that side of the ball. And what about the position coaches? Who's the LBer coach? Is Grinch the only idiot of the bunch? Donte? The DB's are definitely underperforming as well. I think we have some blame to go around, but yes, Grinch is the #1 problem. Maybe it's those skin tight tee shirts which don't allow the blood to flow freely to his brain.
55-17 This USC team is going to be mad due to their underwhelming performance Saturday.
45-25? Not good enough.
That sounds about right to me. I think the UW game will be closer though at home. Could go either way. High scoring, winner has 45, loser 40-ish.
But on the road at ND and Oregon I could see the wheels coming off in those environments. We just had a very mini version against a poor team of hostile road conditions and it was not pretty.
It will be a bloodbath, Lincoln needs to run up the score to get back in the hunt. I would anticipate USC scores 70+ and Colorado gets a few in garbage time. They are not very good.
