Let me get this straight. We are supposed to believe that Williams was fired an hour or two ago and an hour ago. He was hired as the Georgia defensive back coach? I guess he's not coaching in the bowl? Is anybody going to show up to the holiday bowl player or coach?

He must have been doing a hellva job recruiting for USC while persuing that gig and than getting hired a week ago. Hasn't it been reported that these coaches were all doing their jobs and recruiting for USC since the Grinch firing? Sure looks like it when you see recruiting dropping off in several areas...now the new guys need to recruit with how many days before signing?

in the not too distant past coaches waited until after signing day to bail and that would upset recruits too. Donte did seem MIA with recruiting lately.

I never implied he wanted to leave only that a guy pursuing another job and taking it one week ago couldn't be doing much recruiting for his employer. Too busy looking for his next paycheck if the handwriting was on the wall..Belk was out of work so they could have hired him anytime...waiting for Donte to find a position elsewhere and than having article sstating how he was recruting seems dubious. The fact that they waited so long to right before signingday just doesn't fit with the tpica way this is done in College Football as well.

Last thing with the potential db coach: Belk left Valdosta St as DB coach and took a pay cut to join Nick Saban's staff and work as a GA at Alabama. As most know, Saban started his career as a db coach, and has actively assisted with coaching that unit on all his teams.

Kirby just lost 5 5 stars , 8 4 stars and 5 3 Stars from his roster to the Portal so far..he needs a recruiter to recover those losses...with his LBers and DL he only needs decent players that don't need a lot of coaching in his secondary...Kirby may actually help Donte develop...sure didn't get that under Grinch..
