According to Josh Pate on 247 Sports USC has fallen far far behind LSU in it's coaching search. He spoke about the difference between the two schools approach to finding a coach...LSU has one guy their AD who is driving their search and has already decided on who they want. He claims that the LSU has a list...numbering his first pick, second pick and so on. The approach is offer the first guy if he says no move to number two and so forth....whereas USC has too many hands in the mix interferring with the AD and his ability to come up with "his guy"...and according to Pate that groups has no idea about the kind of coach they want...and as an example spoke about the early favorite James Franklin...after a couple of losses Franklin is out. Pate said that shouldn't be the way you look for a coach...it isn't about todays "pick of the day" but rather finding the guy that you think has the attribute to lead your football program successfully...with the openings happening now including the TCU job and two more he thinks could happen at Florida and Miami the pool gets larger with schools looking for a coach...and USC is dragging their feet on what they want and who fits that bill....Bohn has a lot of Administration sticking their nose into his business...

Bohn has no connection to Franklin, so I don't know how he's his guy...that was Sexton with those USC rumors.
Bohned has his guy….problem is, he aint coming.
LSU is taking Franklin….he just hired SEC kingmaker Jimmy Sexton.….and since this came out, Pedd St has tanked. The players know their coach is a short timer.
Hogwash, Pate doesn't know anything.
USC fan base is not the issue
Put the LSU/FL fans what USC fans have gone through last decade and see how many still show up
Agree with everything else. A lot of Good points made.
Maybe USC knows the guy they want prefers LSU and they are therefore spending more time examine other options.
Also, if Florida fires its coach, that could also reduce options for USC.
Competing against LSU and Florida would be hard. Those schools have better fan support, better alumni support, better demographics, lower living costs, better qualify of life for a coach with a family. USC has the clear advantage in history and tradition.
Guys, Bohn is going to make a solid hire.
Thanks Josh!!!
BOHNED!!! I warned you! I am always right. Unqualified piece of human shit.
