Update: USC Football Gets DE Commitment

Well, that didn’t take long.

Had an offer from Colorado State. Fremont High School. Been a while since USC got a guy from Fremont. Last I recall is Thomas Herring.

Expect a verbal very soon.

These days I don’t thi k anything. Anything with a camera on or. Ike open is spontaneous. I think there’s some social media guy right there to chino and send it to ticky tack. Snapshot. Instacat. Facebook. And whatever kids they’re allowed to contact.

And whoever sends it probably tells 30 kids “he was talking about choooo”

My father went to Fremont. When he started there it was not yet integrated. Loooooooooong time ago.

I think the last athlete of note from Fremont was Curtis Rowe, who played there in the late 60s and then at UCLA. I went to Hamilton; when I was a senior Sidney Wicks was a sophomore. Wicks and Hamilton beat Rowe and Fremont in the City semis, then got destroyed by Jefferson in the finals.

1975-76, Hamilton HS track & field had All CIF sprinter Billy Mullins, 9.5 100 yds, 21.1 220 yds. Mullins went on to USC and kicked arse, 100 m 10.0, 200 m 20.1 and in the 440 yds and 400 m = 44.5 and AA.

And, Hamilton was a top 2 in the 440 yd relay team.

Man, in those days the SS CIF, inner city HS schools had very fast boys... Cheers.

This is a Chad Savage thing. Listen to his first interview where he says they like 5 stars like everyone. But if we find an inner city kid who is the best in his league? We are gonna get him. He was referring to Williams. And once USC snags him and the services look at his measurables and his 2025 season they'll make him a 4 star. He's a 3 star because the services prefer the suburbs

Being a DL of course. But look who was in on him first. Colorado State. I didn't know who Savage was talking about when he said that but =when he did I thought it sounded oddly specific. Now I know. And I am sure after he said it he sent the clip to the kid. He was talking to him right there. Once Henderson was on board he got the offer and here we are.
