ZERO POINT ONE. 0.1. Never seen that before this far into the season.
USC is winning the turnover margin because of it's offense. Not it's defense. Caleb and Dye simply have not turned the ball over.
Closest team is 0.5 per game with most teams averaging 1. 5 per game.
For some perspective, Last season SC turned the ball over 1.7 times per game.
USC's defense is ranked 123rd in forcing fumbles per game. That flat out sucks. But makes up for that some by being top ten in interceptions. Most likely because the offense when clicking has forced teams , especially earlier in the season, to go one dimensional and throw the ball more than they planned.
So it's not the defense winning the turnover margin. Just the facts ma'am.
Is it scheme or personnel? as usual it's some combination. But Grinch was supposed to be able to do more with less. No?
In The Grinch's defense. He has been clear he doesn't have the players he needs to run his defense.
It just seems like he isn't recruiting them either. For whatever reason high school coaches don't seem to like what they see in the Grinch and are steering kids somewhere else.
Hope that changes, or 162 makes a change. So far it's Much harder to find D players in the portal. sc
Yes it is. the defense is winning the turnover battle. Both the offense and the defense are doing their jobs. Offense very very few turnovers And the defense is getting those interceptions that you refuse to acknowledge . stop digging when you are in a home.
They should do a Caleb William Bobblehead night.
SC is T4 in the nation in Interceptions.
How can you say the defense isn’t winning the margin. If the D had one pick, the margin would be zero.
The turnovers slowed when the injuries started piling up. There is a direct correlation you know.
You’re trying WAY too hard to be right here.
USC has 17 takeaways. In 8 games; let me know many how many of those were procured by the offense. Thanks
How many full recruiting cycles has Grinch had at SC?
ZERO POINT ONE. 0.1
smart people can see the correlation
they measure 12 months over 12 months
they don't think interceptions are an act of God
they don't expect a coach to recruit during a game week
Napoleon, not so much
Does The OSU have a better defense because they have recovered six fumbles and ten interceptions compared to SC's four fumbles and 13 interceptions over eight games?
not even getting into quality of opponents
sure six is 50% > four, but over eight games is .75 per game really a huge differential from .50 per game?
You know, orders of magnitude and all.
The next gameday could change that in a second.
FYI only top ten ranked teams in the top 50 for turnovers gained are:
SC tied 11
The OSU tied 14
Volunteers tied 14
LSU (AP only) tied 42
no one
