The constant comparisons to Oregon are flattering. The obsession continues 😉
In football Java no doubt Oregon was frustrated. Don’t think they had illusions to be high on the podium on the men’s side this year in track even after winning big ten title. They had the kind of depth that wins a weaker b10 meet but not the scorers to win the national meet.
I have no idea what it takes to win a track meet. Not at that level as a fan. Wish I cared more.
No obsession with UO.
Just thought it was funny to see them spend all that on a team in football win the b10. Beat osu. and lose one game to Osu again and have it all be over. Not funny. Sad.
Then to basically have the same thing happen in track.
If you think laughing at the failure is obsessing? Mmmm kkkk. Have at it
Same place they normally do. Indoor exists so all the loser schools with crappy weather can take advantage of their huge field houses they have. Michigan state. Ohio state. Purdue
USC doesn’t need that. Distances are the same. Meaning you can map them out on your track. High jump long jump. Relays. Having it two months before the outdoor seems a bit silly. I’m not sure if the scoring system is the same as outdoor.
The only differences I suppose are the lack of wind or rain ever.
I find it as useless and pointless to have indoor championships followed by outdoor a couple months later. As having a beach volleyball team. But they want more sports so wahoo. Have at it. More stuff people don’t watch
USC does not have an indoor practice facility but they do compete in indoor meets prior to the
big 10 and NCAA indoor championships. When I competed for USC I ran in several indoor meets, one in Seattle and one in the old Sports Arena. It was different but really fun. It was in the mile relay.
We won a couple of prizes too.
If you run several indoor races you get the hang of it quickly.
This is our third NCAA indoor championship. Since it’s our first mens track and field championship
Since 1978 I’ll take it. The women have three recently but this is the first mens in a long time. And we have a good shot at the mens outdoor title too. But you need luck and health.
We had both at the indoor meet. Arkansas’s 1600 meter relay dropped the baton. If they came in ahead of our relay team they would have won the meet.
Quincy Watts , the best Bohn hire maybe. Bohned.
Jen already surpased BOHNED in NCs.
Oregon has to be so frustrated. Wins the b10 in football. Ohio state wins the nc
Wins track and field b10. USC wins the NC
long time for UsC. Huge opportunity with NIL to get this back as many of the other sports.
How many is that in track? 28?
and yet USC doesn't even have an indoor track. sc
Lady Ducks won the women’s side. UGA was second.
Congrats on the men’s side.
Incredible performance!! ❤️💛
Nice job Coach Watts and team!!!
