I don't know how much he squeezed from Oregon, Bruddah, But the word is we offered and signed him for $1.2 mill. Then once he had our offer , he took it to Texas, Tennessee and Oregon. The Oregon visit was first, then he went to SEC country looking for more and clearly Oregon's offer was the best.
He is not even an OT. Oregon is all in, no matter what.
I don't like it either, even when it may favor Oregon.
But these days it's not really Oregon coaches or reps calling up potential transfer targets on other teams, who needs that kind of risk? It's agents (or more likely "prospective" agents) calling up potential transfer targets saying, "I just called Oregon and asked them what they would offer for someone like you, and they say $________, what do you think?"
For little bit of work, agents reap huge rewards and everyone wins - except for the team of the transfer target, that is...
No direct "tampering" necessary these days unfortunately.
Tampering at its finest. Ol are made. They’ll be fine. He’s a guard.
Bruddah Ballss, how much $1 did Oregon pay for his services? Most of all why didn't USC out bid Oregon? Major FU by USC... No Cheers
Egregious tampering. Announced return, played bowl game, signed NIL at USC.
Jinx, quarter or coke, bigballs.
