Um, why are the +6s ranked ahead of the +7s?

Jess Hill was the best there was the first 6 games of every season. The last 4, not so good.

6 seasons. 32-3-1 in the first 6 games, 13-14 in the rest.

Didn’t know that about Jess Hill.very interesting stat line. You always want to get better as the season progresses. I have lived thru more than a few USC seasons where we started off with 4 or 5 in a row and then faded bad. Like Riley says , they haven’t put a complete game together yet. I think the defense has improved as the season has hit mid point. A couple of guys have emerged, Tuli, Gentry, Max Williams. even Byrd has flashed. And Dline play has really improved. the offense has not been good or as good since the first half at Stanford. Unstoppable blitzkrieg.
