Played two teams and a hostile crowd.
Had refs extend 3 drives and hand Utah a TD while taking away an INT from USC
Screwed up numerous targeting calls and were WRONG ON EVERY ONE OF THEM FROM THE BOOTH Which shows you that they were looking, wanting, yearning, trying to call penalties on USC and their own booth was telling them no.
USC offense scored 42 points. Ran the ball well. Stadium gave Utah a few false starts.
USC played on turf and not grass and Utah got to play on turf
All of that and Utah needed a 2 point conversion and a free TD gift by the refs to win. At home. Even had to put dead thugs faces on their helmets because they can't motivate themselves with just the game.
In the end, Utah wins by 1.
What was the line? Oh yeah. Utah favorites by 4.5.
So yeah. I have no problem with USC coaching. The way they played. How they conducted themselves. Sometimes you have business deals where the other company does something sneaky and cheats. They win. You just move on to the next customer and trust your guys have a good plan and you have a good product.
I liked what I saw from USC tonight. Loved how they competed in a tough environment. Beat the spread. Beat expectations. Outplayed Utah.
This team is making a lot of progress and has come a long way in a short time. If this is they way losses are gonna go? Fine. Once in awhile these losses happen. Beats the crap out of the alternative.
Just think. All of this is what it took to beat USC. Probably how Bama felt today
the coaching sucked last night. Time management was helton-esque and you let a TE light you up for 200 yards with no response? Amateur.
solid take
