Is there ONE guy on current team that played Saturday for USC That was better than anyone on this list?
Drake London didn’t play.
And Drake Jackson played for a few plays only. Anyone????
Yes that’s a big part of it. Although in recent drafts USC has had Austin Jackson & AVT both get picked in mid 1st. And Chuma was also drafted but he’s been terrible.
So we’re really really bad now talent level wise.
We used to be ok.
NONE have been coached up or beefed up last decade. NONE.
when I mean coached up I mean fundamentals. I mean teaching them to move their feet. Scheme is super basic zone blocking. Every single time
Hugs would pull the a guard once in a while and apparently having more blockers helped As it was a consistent gain. But Harrell has abandoned That For some reason. he wants another 7 second pass play for a 6 yard gain.
Yep, that's some talent right there. Not a lot of OL, though. I'm wondering if that could be one of the issues USC is experiencing right now, not a lot of OL development in recent years.
I remember at UCLA during the 2000s or thereabouts, the Bruins went a total of at least 10 years without getting a single offensive lineman drafted into the NFL. Not one. That has to be some sort of record for a Power 5 team.
I think Jeff Baca finally broke that streak. He didn't last long, hardly enough for that coffee, but at least he was drafted.
