From what I have gathered, Lake's time is up. Losing to Montana by scoring but 7 points (1st drive of the game then NOTHING) is bad enough but coming from a 0-13 halftime deficit two weeks ago against a team that hadn't won a game in two years then needing a last minute score 10 days ago against a team that just got obliterated by Utah this past weekend makes it clear. Sure, Utah is considered the best team in the conference now but there has been no excuse for the bad football we have been seeing considering the current talent on the roster.
With the way college football is heading, I am not as invested as before but the drama is fun to follow.
If Jimmy Lake is fired (and trust me, the Montana loss to start the season figures much higher than this silly incident in any potential termination), this will make the second Washington head football coach Mario Cristobal has IMO personally helped usher to the door at Montlake. And if you don't think Coach Pete left mid-season in part due to Cristobal and the UO, I'm not sure what to tell you...
To be fair and provide a different perspective, the 70-21 thrashing at Autzen by Petersen of Helfrich in turn helped doom his time at Oregon.
Told you Trojans that Oregon vs Washington is the BEST, most heated rivalry in the pac-12!! 😎
Can't argue that, considering the fortunes of the south teams of late. And Cal/ Stanford has been irrelevant for some time now. Can't remember the last time both teams went into the "big game" ranked in the top twenty. Let alone the top ten. Maybe when Andrew Luck was matriculating?
i was watching the game when the incident in question transpired, it looked worse when it happened, but even so, you better win like Woody Hayes if you do this.
Having seen the footage a few times, I don't think he was too far out of line if at all. It happened pretty quickly but to me it looks like he was shoving the player out of the way, and wasn't intentionally swinging for his face mask. As for the push in the back he was pushing him away from the scrum. It wasn't some random shove out of anger imho.
Of course it could all be a pretense to remove him on conduct grounds after the dawgs' poor performance.
I'm curious to see the huskie fans' comments on this.

Pussification of America has entered CFB.

Much ado about nothing. It's further proof of the Pussification of Football and America.
