So that is where they were. I am on the opposite side and it sounded like the band was down and in front and quite honestly, because I couldn't locate it, it almost seemed like it was piped in. And yes, it was the same tune over and over.
Not unusual. When we were at the Iowa game 3 weeks ago, the Husky skeleton band was located in the same place at Kinnick Stadium.
Saw an interview with Christopher Walken a few weeks ago. He was discussing some of the things he’s most known for by fans. Anyways, he said he was having dinner in Tokyo one night and this complete stranger sitting at the table next to him leans over and says, “This salad could use a little more cowbell.”
I think Auburn did something similar in 2003. Texas stuck the USC band at the top of the stadium in the far endzone. Probably the price of usc playing the same tunes over and over again.
Especially if something less than the full band is traveling, the host school should consider seating a visiting band in one of the luxury boxes with the windows closed.

How many people does it take to play one song over and over and over and over and over again?
Actually, this isn’t unusual PT. We don’t always bring the full band either.
Good acoustics up there reverberating off that overhang.
