He hired a DC to correct the teams biggest problem. A competent defense ( not even a great defense) and the season turns out different. We head to a conference with vanilla offenses that should be easier to defend.

He is getting very comfy on the sidelines though, by midseason he will be coaching in white yoga pants and ugg boots.

And as I have pointed out, a new DC fixes very few of these issues. LR is big on throwing out cheap phrases, a la Helton, but it remains to be seen if he actually has what it takes to implement them. I doubt he can do it. I suspect he will be gone a year from now. The correct path is too difficult for him.

You are correct. Dont forget, recruiting regressed. 7-5 with a Heisman QB is forgivable. But a complete regression in every aspect of the team is not. The program is in a death spiral.
