I think USC should design some packages with him in mind. Whether he comes in for a series or a change of pace. Stuff centered around what a D will be doing to stop Moss and what Maiva can do well with the first string offense to change things up and take advantage.
He moves well, he's strong and he gets to his spots fast and with confidence.
I think they can use the change of pace but moreso I think if he gets on the field here and there they will develop him, keep him interested and be better off if and when the time comes that Moss can't
Make the opponent prepare for two O schemes. YAH!
Cassel almost never saw the field but had a nice pro career.
I don’t think it’s worth undermining Millers on field confidence and leadership to get Maiva involved. Put him in for experience but the package concept has never worked well, imho and I’d like to see Miller grow with the team and as an individual before I worry about the other dude. Jmo
Maiva probably came here knowing he would sit for a year, then with Moss of to the NFL , he becomes the starter. Of course if Moss is back then Houston we have a problem. If Maiva wanted to start right away he would already be gone. However people should realize that the most popular guy on the team is the back up quarterback. I think people on this board are seeing what they want to see in Maiva. I don’t think the sample size is big enough to call for his crowning. And all of a sudden Miller Moss is chopped liver. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. It seems we have someone on the USC coaching staff
Who knows a little more about quarterbacking than the posters on this board. And can Maiva drop that dime on Jacobi Lane as Moss did in the LSU game . JMHO
same packages as CW
starting with RPO
it's called the caleb package. just roll the ball on the field.
Yeah, UNLV always gets the most talented players. He should cut the pineapples for a bit longer.
