When will the defense's incompetence affect the team's morale?

These kids have to know that they're now losing games because the defense isn't getting the job done. To me, it seems that the D regressed as the season wore on.

If you were an offensive player, would you feel frustrated and perhaps resentful towards the D?

And if you were on the defense, would you have lost faith in Grinch? Would you have lost faith in your fellow defensive teammates?

I believe that at some point soon, the weakness of the defense is going to hurt the entire morale of the team. No lead is safe with the current D situation.

I think it's up to the players to say they want to tackle one practice / week. They have to be the adults, since the HC and DC don't want to be.

I think once the season started, they quit tackling in practice. It certainly regressed during the season and I didn't hear of any urgency to address it. Sorry, but it's a contact sport and injuries happen. If that's not suitable for you, you're in the wrong sport/line of work. Grow up and deal with it.

I heard Grinch talk about focusing on tackling in practice several times this year. That said, practice doesn’t make Perfect. Perfect practice Makes perfect. That’s true for any skill in life.
