He's an affirmed duck hater, much like a number of you on here. As much as he loved his old pac-12, he hates Oregon.
He's always been that way. So it's really no surprise to see the one AP writer who didn't vote Oregon number 1 this week was...?? Drum roll, please...
Wilner.
Now, I'm not saying Oregon will necessarily prove to be the best team in college football, I know they are not - but right now at this point in the season, they probably are deserving of being number 1, or at least 60 out of 61 writers think so.
Wilner? Naw, according to him a team that has 1 loss and barely got by 3-5 Kentucky by 1 point is better than Oregon.
Wilner is so out of touch/plays favorites - he also predicted the pac would stay together and the media deal would come in between $28-35 million/school. And that the B1G isn't expanding anytime soon beyond USC, UCLA.
Okay.....
BTW speaking of the AntiQua on here, anyone heard from Old Hickory lately? Hope he's ok.
i believe he committed suicide after vandy crushed bama.
OHT was sent to prison. Molestation of his granddaughter. Sicko.
I think he voted the Ducks #7. Luckily polls don’t matter anymore.
It wasn’t just Wilner who predicted the PAC 10 would stay together. Many were saying no way the Presidents at CU , UA , Utah would cut their Academic relations with Calford for the Big 12. That aged well.
Those Academic relationships were a farce to begin with. You think UCLA and Cal researchers had Oregon and OSU as a priority over the UC schools? Paleeese. Funny, how no one’s Academic ratings improved over 80 years. Ducks ranking and research has actually significantly dropped over the last 50 years as the Medical Center broke away.
