Im always gonna support a Trojan. Even one who paints his nails and cries in his motherw arms in the stands.

I wouldnt. Personality, size, nails. Just not feeling it myself.

Im on the record. Lets see how he does.

Supposedly a really good situation awaits him in Chicago. That helps alot. Prob 50% of the issue for any QB.

I have said I would not but here's the thing. That doesn't mean I like anyone else either. Daniels was a P12 failure who ran around a lot at LSU. That get you killed in the NFL. Ask superman or Kap or even Vick. Drake Maye I said early on that I didn't like him. His mental make up. He just goes in funks for long parts of the game and is such a one dimensional guyyt hat he cant do anything else to create. Bo Nix is 30 years old and probably hit his ceiling. He's functional. Mc Carthy is just every backup you've ever seen in the NFL for the last decade. I love Penix but apparently he is too brittle for some. If I had one pick for one guy for one game, it would be Penix.

As to the top pick? if there is a generational lineman or WR or whatever, I'd pick them. I hear there are 3 top WR and they are all pretty interchangeable. Harrison, Rome, and the LSU kid. So that's not generational. That's just a sign of the times.

So given the above, Caleb is as good a choice as anyone. However this business of him being a generational talent or the best prospect in 5-10 years. I think that goes a bit far.

Why would anyone care if Caleb paints his fingernails? I thought passing, running, big play ability, accuracy and leadership were all that mattered.

Caleb can wear fake eyelashes and mascara for all I care. But if he starts painting his toenails, I draw the line, even though the majority of experienced NFL people like him the best! 😉

PT you have an obvious animus against CW. I don’t know why. But one of the things CW did while at USC was buy the entire team a set of Beats headphones. He did the same for the womens soccer team. So all the criticism of him is mostly sour grapes.

You would probably criticize Rembrandt because all he could do was paint. When CW showed his generosity to the whole team and the womens soccer team that tells me all I need to know about him, his painted nails withstanding. Perhaps you can give us an insight into your soul by telling us why you really don’t like him.

I just don’t get it. You go out of your way to criticize him. He is a great Trojan IMHO. He won a fricking Heisman as a Trojan, giving us 8. More than any other school. In his Heisman speech he went out of his way to acknowledge Gonzaga Prep and the part it played in making him who he is. And you could see in the people who filled their auditorium to watch the speech what they think of him, both as a person and a player. But you are right about one thing at least you give him credit for flying his offensive lineman to the ceremony. That far outweighs his painted nails. Some people fail to understand the pressure he was under as the Heisman trophy winner going into his final season as a Trojan and in my opinion, he passed the class test in flying colors.

I am not sold on any of the top three quarterbacks this year. I would trade out and get more of a sure thing o lineman, edge rusher, corner. sc

If 5 quarterbacks go in the first round, one will be really good, two ok and two busts. Caleb has the best chance to be really good but no guarantee. The Bears since he is a quarterback have to take him. I think he will be really good but no guarantee. The best young quarterback is Brock Purdy and no one saw that coming.

Yeah I think a lot of these guys have question marks too.

Saw drake Maye play 4 or 5 times and saw lots of good things. But he would definitely miss some easy ones too. Also saw his teammates drop a lot of dimes.

One of my big knocks on CWs “ production” was all the 3 and outs we would see. Way too many in my book and some of this falls on the head coaches play calling but I’m sharing blame here.

Funny enough and true story. Prpb hard to believe but was very impressed with Jaden Daniels when he was at ASU playing USC. Actually, very impressed. Only Saw that one game and never watched him at LSU.

There is no good situation in Chicago....it's Chicago. Name a decent QB that developed with the Bears? CW already has some hate generated by his team mates to be in Chicago....a guy painting his nails and wearing glitter will not sit well in Chicago as they are a blue collar team with blue collar fans....first time he screws up they will crucify him...IMHO

I agree. If Caleb wants to be Caleb, then it might not sit well in Chicago, and they will, as you stated, crucify him. He has a little growing up to do now that he is playing with the big boys. No mercy there and rah rah's rooting for him no matter how he conducts himself.
