Zach Arnett Available

Yeah, firing season is off to an early start but still has a couple of weeks before it cracks off. Already Durkin, Arnett and Leonhard are soon to be unemployed. Aranda and Lynn could be available too. It's fun to speculate but it's still early.

Isn't Leonhard a consultant? Why would he be unemployed? Lynn? Who Lynn? The chargers Lynn?

I was distracted watching the Bills trying really hard to lose a football game. They succeeded. I meant to say Leonhard doesn't have a real job, or a field position job anyway. D'anton Lynn.

Speaking of which, why not Charlie Strong? He's currently in Saban rehab and while he may be looking for another HC gig, stopping at USC for a year or two could benefit both sides.

I was going to mention him earlier and forgot. Some stupid business thing distracted me. I gotta stop letting dumb things distract me and focus on posting. 😂

I think you know the game well enough not to evaluate 'week to week.' Arnett was in trouble (as a *head coach*) before Saturday's game, and his players knew it.... lol, don't know why I'm defending him,,,, not my first choice, but I respect his body of work.

The one thing that gives me pause about Jim Leonhard is that every DC that has coached at Wisconsin over the last decade or so has produced a Top 10 defense there, even Justin Wilcox. Running the ball 30-40 times a game didn't hurt either so while I don't doubt that he's a very solid defenisve coach, he also made his bones at a program that already had a system in place to produce very good defenses in a league that is known for poor offensive play.

I also wanted to add that Miss St turned the ball over 4 times against TAMU and has been poor on offense all season. The Aggies have questionable coaching but not in terms of personnel and outside of their 15 point loss to the Canes, they've been within a score in each of their other losses.
