Economic loss from wildfires could top $50 billion, making it one of the costliest U.S. natural disastersA preliminary report by Accuweather estimated the cost of the wildfires ravaging L.A. County at more than $50 billion, a total that would make it one of the costliest natural disasters in recent U.S. history.
$50 Billion.? Isn’t that chump change for CA. Didn’t that speed train from LA to SF cost $50 B?
50 Billion wouldn't even cover the 1st checks to get people started while they wait for everything to be valued. Coastal comission will not let any of those shore front properties be rebuilt, and it will not be possible to do anything without insurance, which will never happen unless people go through some kind of state program, which would be like sticking your dick down a fire ant hole.
And not a working fire hydrant in sight
