Did Trump bite off more than he can chew

Not sure going the Tariff route before he has cleaned house and gotten spending under control was a great move when the electorate are expecting lower costs of living right away....this tariff thing although the right thing to do is going to piss a lot of voters off when they don't see an immediate drops in their spending costs...

They're doing it on purpose. They want to start a mini recession to jam down the long-end of the yield curve to refi about $7T in debt. They also know that a mini recession will snub infkation. They want to do it fast to get things cooking again before the midterms. Bissett is smart. You won't understand.

How long did it take Regan to get Carter's printing and inflation under control? You never appeared to me that you are a part of the "I demand it now!" generation.

As far as the electorate goes, most understand this will not get fixed overnight and the gaslighting by the left is starting to fall on deaf ears. The rest either don't care enough or don't vote anyway.

I've seen the numbers and personally the increase impact of inflation won't impact my wife and I much at all. Our house is paid for, all our vehicles are paid for , we have no credit card debt but there are many who can't afford a 2% increase in inflation and in case you didn't know it many folks expected costs to drop instantly as many folks are a bit soft and expect instant gratification. Those are the folks that will listen to the complaining national media and start to scream. All I was saying is Trump may have taken on more problems in his first month than anyone should expect him to handle and just cleaning out the government from the deep state is going to be much bigger than I beleive Trump expected. Heck Coney Barrett just sucker punked Trump and every american in the country.

I have the exact same situation you are in now, but I was there from 1981-82. Recently married, we had to buy our first house under the burden of 12% - 14% intertest rates, We had to search high and low to either find a private DOT loan or an assumable mortgage (yes, they were still around back then). We found an assumable mortgage for 4-1/2% interest but needed to sign a 5 year private contract at 12% for the balance, that we paid off with a 2nd mortgage for around 6% a few years later. We lived there for almost 10 years.

I survived and don't feel much empathy for those who want it now or fail to do what is needed to work around these temporary issues.

Yes, the job is big. So big that Trump is relishing the challenge as witnessed by his words and his actions. Do you think he will fail?

Yes. To be fair, his ambition is high, but things don’t get unfcked in 100 days.

What is discouraging is the lack of the ‘K’ , epstein and 9/11 files. I believe bondi was a bad choice for ag but ultimately that rests with the prez. If Epstein files are released with redactions, i’m checking out. I’m not naive enough to think i understand the internal workings of state craft but that was one of trump’s campaign promises. Ugly as it might be, knock it down and rebuild.
