Now I am sure if you were pot loving, artist loving. or a homo you could find a place to hang out, but The Sand Piper Bar aka The Dirty Bird was a Marine Corps Officers Bar. Newport Beach today is mostly rich phonies while Huntington Beach has a large Nazi contingent, including their elected officials.

One bar that Marine Officers hung out doesn't make it a Marine Town...for all we know the officers went both ways...and nobody was talking about Newport or Huntington Beach today. We are talking the 60's when they were surf towns. Answer the question when did you move to Laguna....during the days when it was known as a Gay Town or before that ...timeline? But please try to be honest, Laguna was gay not a Marine Town...
