only reason you want FEMA is due to the fact California doesn't do it's due diligence to address their yearly fires and mudslides and earthquakes as they are too busy taking care of illegals and putting so many regalations in place to prevent work being done and with incompetent democrat leadership you need a Republican President to save your asses at the expense of the taxpayer... oh and buy some Homeowner Insurance....oh that's right California drove insurers out of the state..
Didn't drive USAA out. When The Hartford canceled us after 30 years we went to USAA and got more insurance for the same amount of $. Oh and they are having fires in TX, NC and SC due to global warming, but as Fatty says global warming is just a hoax.
that was stupid they have fires , tornados, hurricanes forever in those places. It's called weather and not global warming. Those states will be better off without FEMA afterall they don't show up and they don't fix anything...
Wow $ 4747.59 that's a BFD. But Donnie's plan is to shut FEMA down. So I am laying in a couple of cases of popcorn for the hurricane season. Football and hurricanes this fall is going to be fun.
Red states and Congressional districts, especially those with high numbers of FEMA applications, voted to eliminate FEMA because FEMA did not serve them well
if you traveled at all or were well read, you would know that parts of LA and FL have yet to recover from FEMA managed emergencies going back to the bummer administration
significant quote from your article; "Over the past decade, this program has provided an average of $3,398 to more than 1.7 million eligible households in Florida after disasters."
LOL, $3,400 per eligible household?
What exactly do you think that covers when you have lost everything?
What do you think Californians will do when those who lost everything in the recent fires get a check for $3,400?
if you knew how to read, you would know that all money earmarked for FEMA managed emergencies/disasters will now be sent directly to states, instead of funding Catholic charities to relocate and settle illegal immigrants. Money spent on administering FEMA will also be passed through so that states can manage their own recovery.
this makes the most sense, because if a state performs poorly in an emergency recovery, all elected officials can be replaced at the very next election.
compared to when FEMA fails to perform , there is no way to remove FEMA officials especially in a climate where one District Judge from a non-affected area like North Dakota, can over-rule any attempt by the President to reform FEMA
executive summary: it will take Trump exactly the same amount of effort to elminate FEMA entirely as it would for him to remove one FEMA administrator or IG.
Bureaucracies are unelected (not democratic), unresponsive, and immune to oversight, so it's best to eliminate all that are not performing absolutely essential administrative functions such as FEMA and remove all obstacles to their direct control, such as rogue District Court judges
why do democrats fight to maintain the bureaucratic status quo when they are not democratic?
Football and hurricanes, this fall is going to be fun. I do have a suggestion for one Hurricane affected state Louisiana. Since it is already a broke-ass state they could fire their $10,000,000
football coach and put that money into hurricane relief, LOL.
"and happily watching the hurricanes coming ashore". Your pathological hatred betrays you lack of character. You really are a piece of shit. Clearly, you have nothing going on in you meaningless life, so you only have your hatred to keep you warm. You are worthless.
Not to mention all the California fires! Are you concerned that states don't know how to run their own disaster assistance programs? Your friends down south will have fun rebuilding. How's it going in Maui?
You leave out were the govt. will provide funds for the states own, local, disaster relief programs.
Look at the map moron See which congressional districts will be hurt. To bad MOFOs you voted for the clown. I love playing offense. Come on hurricanes.
the districts that 'will be hurt' have ALREADY been injured by FEMA and voted for its dismantling
edit: they were injured when FEMA failed to provide disaster relief and injured again when FEMA used money earmarked for disaster relief to pay for illegal immigrants to settle in the affected districts
