Well looky here. 2 juveniles were actually charged last week.
And yesterday Lyndell Mays and Dominic Miller have both been charges with murder. Not sure how TWO people firing random bullets can both be charged with the same murder. But I am not a scum sucking barrister. 2nd degree felony murder. As opposed to 4th degree misdemeanor murder, where you can get a ticket if you kill someone while protesting Black Lives Matter and tearing down a town.
They also have been charged with 2 counts of armed criminal action, whatever that means. And unlawful use of a weapon.
The two teens are being held in Juvy on gun related and resisting arrest charges. So those cute little cherubs did not go happily or in a compliant manner.
More charges are pending as they dream more stuff up. Probably find an open container, find some experied tags. Anything they can dig up.
The kids may be tried as adults. That would be great, but sadly they won't kill them. They should lock all 4 in a room. Give them all loaded guns and come back in 2 hours. That would save the taxpayers SO MUCH MONEY.
Oh, a 5th guy has been charged too Get this genius, Jose Castillo. 36 Unlawful possession of a firearm. So he sees two of the guys duking it out. Fighting No idea if Jose knows any of them. Or if Jose is an opportunist. But one drops his weapon as they fight. Jose wanders over, picks it up. Like he's found a $20 on the ground lol
And he walks away. Jose is gonna palm a gun from a nationally televised fight. BONUS. That is some juevos Jose. Anyway, Jose is pointed out and caught. Turns out, it's a black Glock 22 and yeah, you know what's coming. Jose caught a felony in 2016 and hasn't shaken it. He not allowed to possess no firearm so picking that gun up and palming it and walking away was a pretty bad idea.
So are you happy? We knew there were 3 people involved in this and now we have charges on 5. Done complaining?
They are being detained and can be for awhile. They are trying to determine how many counts and what they can reasonably get a conviction for. Remember, they don't know which guy shot which victim and you have to know that before yu charge them. Is it manslaughter. Attempted murder? And which degree? Is there gang activity involved and what more can be thrown in then?
I am not surprised. I think they want a resonable feel for what they can pop them for before they charge them.

In Parkland the cop on campus did nothing
In Uvalde the cops did nothing
In Kansas City the cops did nothing.
Too often the “good guys” with guns only prove to be cowards with guns. More cops will not end gun violence.
