Also, there was no patrolling of the buildings because it was “too hot” outside. They stayed inside and probably ate a few dozen donuts. Jackasses. Fire them all.
Bottom line is there was an on-site chain of command there involving the Secret Service. Those are the people that should be taking questions in front of Congress.
Thery would have been far better off if they picked a narrative. Even a bad or stupid one. And just stuck with it. It's local police's fault. Local police: no it's not. SSS: says you Local police: oh yeah? SSS: Yeah. Local police: fine let's see what congress has to say SSS: fine see you there.
See? At least that is something where the public can be like "ok, they both have a different point of view and will fight it out in hearings"

Every day we get a new story. The first day the Secret Service was responsible.
Then we hear local law enforcement handled stuff outside the perimeter
Local law enforcement threw that back and said no Secret Service was responsible for everything
We hear there were people inside the building
Then we hear there was a suspicious person alert for 15 or 20 minutes. And they lost the guy.
Then we hear that the roof was too steep, and there was no point in staging someone on it.
My gosh, pick a story and stick with it people. This is stupid.
This is local LEOers??
