Everytime a President attends any function or no function at all he is always protected by the Secret Service, which also isn't cheap. I saw no expense breakdown given by the Huff Post for their 10.7 million estimate, but you can bet your house that HP was hoping to enrage susceptible people like yourself with what HP knows is really just the common expected expense incurred with protecting any President.
