Why would they have lights on them like it's a Christmas tree, blasting to everyone that they are there? That doesn't fit with looking for radioactive material. Shouldn't it be clandestine?

FAA regulations for UAVs require specific lighting

they must be clearly marked for night flight so that manned aircraft can see and avoid them

they are also broadcasting a remote ID that identifies the exact location of the UAV and the controller

they must also file for LAANCs in flight in controlled airspace

I am surprised no enterprising investigative reporter has researched the LAANCs on file for the areas in question or downloaded an app that reveals locations of aircraft and controllers

some LAANCS require 90 days advance notice for approval

and if they are reserving airspace with FAA knowledge and approval, there would be NOTEMs in the public record and available online that detail reserved and controlled airspace.

finally these bigger drones need pilots that qualify under Part 11 and need annual medicals, etc they also require not only a pilot, but an observer on site to be in compliance.

Trust me, someone knows what's going on. I even have an app on my phone that shows me all aircraft in my area with most of the above information available So do other pilots and the FAA

If there's lighting within FAA regulations there is likely no conspiracy. Not sure why the govt wouldn't just tell us.

I heard that rumor last week on one of the youtube vids. That "something" dangerous was missing. It would explain why there is limited info going around and why the feds are saying that the drones are foreign and there is no danger. I mean, other than training exercises it seems plausible. Albeit inexcusable. I guess. Surely if these drones were unknown or foreign, we should have the technology to down them. Also would explain why many of them seem to come and return from offshore right next to a navy base
