Pure genius. Apparently even his allies are aghast because it's not what he'd promised them. SHOCKER None of the tariffs are "generous" and the formula was inconsistent, confusing and not at all what was promised.

I tend to think we recover from this but it will shave off economic growth. Needlessly. Might slip us into recession. Needlessly. Given that he's been president before, this is real amateur hour stuff.

Fortunately for me, as you know I have been compiling cash by selling calls in an overbought market. Good first quarter for moi. But the rest of my portfolio, along with most others, took a hit. Hopefully he reverses course, as usual, and declares victory like the moron he is and moves on to a less costly fight. Perhaps we can invade greenland next.
