this is 2020 > 2024 only. It would be interesting to see the changes from 2012 > 2016 > 2020 > 2024

crazy that the Western Blue wall is still not reporting, they must be really afraid of what really happened and trying to finagle the elections for Senators, Congressmen, and local officials

The highest county level Republican increases I saw per state was 28%!! in Maverick County, South Texas and 19% in Dade County, South FL each of which is phenomenal. Seems to average around 4-5% nationwide with TX and FL showing the largest statewide increases at closer to 8% on the average, again phenomenal. The Texas counties bordering with Mexico may average closer to 12% Republican increase, no lie.
For Dims, increases were very spotty with CO showing the best statewide increases and the Atlanta metro area the densest cluster of increases.
Obama flipped 8 senate seats in one election. And 23 house seats. Thats a swing of 16 and 46. That is a wave.
This was a tight election where momentum carried down ballot. Much to the surprise of many. Me included. But a flip of 5 senate seats with a friendly map. And a flip of 2 house seats isn’t much of a wave.
Poor Kamala
This always feels like a how many votes do we need strategy.
Deep dive on why Dems lost
Fl and tx have had a large number of expelled California republicans move there
The county you mentioned I. Texas may have been the one I read about. There was one that hadn’t voted Republican since 1890. Until now
