I heard that Corky along with just a few other surfers wrote a letter to the secret service requesting to access Trestles because he needed to train LOL. I know he surfed with Rolf Aurness, who’s Dad James Arness had a house just down from Nixon.

Years ago when Nixon was home there were armed guards on the beach, a coast guard boat just beyond the break, and a bunch of helicopters hovering. Not surprised they stole your board if your leash broke.
